Crew's Control

American Crew is changing the way barbers and stylists engage their male clientele with the launch of Stylist App, which allows salon professionals to instantly discover and share looks and product recommendations in a visual, user-friendly manner. “As the leader in the men’s haircare and styling category, we’re delighted to be able to share men’s styling tips and new looks with thousands of stylists, barbers and men,” says Marty Flaherty, senior vice president of business development for American Crew’s parent company, Colomer Beauty Brands. Via the clean black-and-white interface, stylists can access the entire American Crew product line, complete with usage information and related looks; browse the Style Selector flip books for inspiration; and build their own portfolios of looks. They can easily add to their photo galleries with an in-app camera that takes color, black-and-white and sepia images and input clients’ names, products and techniques used, along with additional notes. The app also serves to connect salons directly to American Crew for news and updates. “We want professionals to know they can turn to American Crew for all of their grooming needs, and we’re making that easier than ever to do,” Flaherty says. —B.K.
