Get Tracey Cunningham's Spring Color Trends and Win a Trip to the Redken Exchange in NYC

In our March issue, we introduced you to the new Redken Gold Rush collection and gave you Tracey Cunningham's tips on using the new shades to warm up brunettes for spring. Here, Cunningham shares what's hot for redheads and blondes:

Redheads: “The reds moving into spring will be really strong and vibrant," Cunningham says. "Emma Stone loves to play with different shades of red, but always has a really strong base of deep, almost burgundy color that gives her that extra sass and personality. Redheads will definitely trend in this direction!” To get this shade, Cunningham suggests the following formulas: Base color: 1 oz. 5Gg Color Fusion + 1 oz. 5Gb Color Fusion + 2 oz. 20 vol. Pro-Oxide Cream Developer; Glaze: 1 oz. Crystal Clear + 1 oz. 05G Caramel Shades EQ + 2 oz. SEQ Processing Solution

Blondes: "As we move into spring/summer 2011, the ombré style will be extremely prevalent with the blondes," she says. "Like with Drew Barrymore’s look, the roots that fade into blonde give a natural summer beach feel.” To emulate Barrymore's ombre effect, use the following:

Base Color:  1 oz. 7Av + 1 oz. 7Gb Color Fusion + 2 oz. 20 vol. Pro-Oxide Cream Developer; Highlights: Blonde Icing Power Lift + 20 vol. Blonde Icing Crème Developer (1:1 Ratio); Glaze: 1 oz. Crystal Clear + 1 oz. 09RB Blush Shades EQ + 2 oz. SEQ Processing Solution
