Mercedes-Benz Spring ’12 Fashion Week NYC: Chris Benz

At the Chris Benz show, the collection was part 1960's lady and part trashy glam. Bold colors and chic prints were front and center, but backstage Nick Irwin and DJ Riggs, lead stylists for TIGI, ruled, drawing inspiration for hairstyles from the Andy Warhol all stars and Debbie Harry, a.k.a, Blondie. Nick and DJ set out to create "trashy glamour" by heavily prepping the hair with TIGI's CatWalk Dry Shampoo to create a synthetic feel and wig-like look. Hair was later set in hot rollers, then teased with a comb. Models with longer hair, had it  pinned back and braided at the nape for a bobbed hair effect. The style was held together with TIGI's  Session Series Work-It Hairspray and there was plenty of it going around!

To complement the collection Daniel Martin, key Makeup Artist for Lancome Paris, kept lips bright using red and orange shades of lipstick and heavily played on the eyes, applying at least two coats of Lancome Hypnose Mascara. Clarisonic brushes we used on the model's skin prior to makeup application for a radiant and fresh look. Anna- Maria applied  Rose Macaroon, a sheer rose color, and Green Almond, a green with tones of grey to the nails.
