Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013 NYC: Rag & Bone

Just like seasons past, Redken Creative Consultant Guido was tapped once again to deliver an edgy New York City look to the hair that translates to the Rag & Bone design aesthetic. To do this Guido created a funky knot with a deep side part for the ultimate cool girl.

To get this look, Guido first prepped damp hair with Redken Fabricate to give it texture while drying. Once dry, he added Guts 10 Volume Spray as well as Powder Refresh to help mattify the hair. He created a deep side part and pulled the hair into a low pony and fastened. Then he twisted the hair upwards creating a slopping knot which he pinned and set with Quick Tease.

The front of the hair was swept over the forehead, but done so in a way to emphasize texture and the easy, laid back New York City girl.

Gucci Westman led the makeup and went for a 1960s graphic retro vibe with a strong focus on the eyes. She kept the eyes looking soft and feminine with lush lashes but then added a gel waterproof liner from center of eye socket across brow bone to further call out the Rag & Bone edgy, easy girl city vibe.
