Mercedes-Benz Spring '11 Fashion Week NYC: Erin Fetherston
At Erin Fetherston, shown at Milk Studios, lead stylist for Moroccanoil Odile Gilbert created a dual-textured look that was slicked away from the face in the front and clean, straight and long in the back. "It's like the woman came straight from the beach but wanted a sophisticated look for an evening out," Gilbert said. To get the effect, Gilbert used extensions on models with shorter hair, then combed Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream through the front of the hair, slicking it back and applying heat from a blow-dryer to set it. She then flat-ironed the back as necessary to ensure it was extrastraight before misting the look with Luminous Hairspray to set it in place.
Lead makeup artist for M.A.C Lucia Pica kept the makeup focus mainly on the lips, dabbing hot orange So Chaud M.A.C lipstick onto the lips, softening the edges with a brush and brushing powder on top for a matte effect. Mascara and a fresh, dewy complexion finished the look.
