Andis Sponsors C.A.N.S 4 Cuts Feed the Nation Food Drive

Andis Company, the professional manufacturer of grooming and styling tools, sponsored the C.A.N.S. 4 Cuts Feed the Nation Food Drive in Charlotte, NC last August. Founded by Lamont “Jaye Da Barber” Joseph, an Andis educator, C.A.N.S. 4 Cuts is a 501c3 nonprofit based in Charlotte, NC whose mission is simple: Caring About Needs In Society.

During the week-long food drive, salons and barbershops collected donations from clients and neighbors and whoever collected the most pounds received professional grade Andis clippers, trimmers and heat styling tools. Headlines Barbershop in Charlotte, NC donated 718 pounds of food with Tame Salon in LA donated 350 pounds. Every donation raised was given to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

“Social responsibility has been a part of the Andis DNA since our founding in 1922, and we encourage all of our associates and business partners to give back and make a difference,” said Harry Szcukowski, national sales manager.

“Both Andis and Jaye Da Barber passionately believe that by serving the needs of a community, you will ultimately change society for the better,”  Szcukoswski explained.  - C.G.
