Sebastian's The What's Next Challenge 2012 Winners
On April 15 in Berlin, Sebastian Professional named stylist Zheng Fei from Shanghai, China, the 2012 What’s Next Challenge winner for his “Stardust” style. Amanda Stone from Tampa, Florida, won Beauty Junkie honors for her look titled “Modern Hawk”.
Winners were announced at the Altes Postfuhramt during Sebastian’s Masquerade Ball. The ball was attended by stylists from around the globe, contest finalists and contest judges, including new Sebastian Professional Visionary and accessory designer, Kerin Rose, who hosted the night’s festivities.
For the 2012 challenge, stylists were called to create "What's Next" in hair fashion and beauty, based on Sebastian's Cosmic Infinities Collection of futuristic looks developed from the brand's Potion 9 and Potion 9 Lite products. Entrants posted their creations online from July through January.
“The response to the What’s Next Challenge has been simply outstanding,” says Sylvie Moreau, Global Leader of Sebastian Professional. “We received entries from around the world that showcased boundless creativity, and we congratulate the two winners who were selected today for their outstanding hair fashion creations.”
As a winner, Fei will be a part of the Sebastian Professional stylist team for Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week. Stone will also be taken to Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week as a special guest.
