In addition to serving as senior editor for American Salon, Jolene Turner is responsible for spearheading the publication's digital media activities. Turner writes and researches topics related to hair and skincare, from new technological advancements to what salon owners are doing to make their businesses a success. Outside of work, Jolene volunteers for the NYC-based non-profit Anjellicle Cats Rescue and writes and performs comedy theater.
Steven Lightfoot Joins Peter Coppola Keratin Concept
Steven Lightfoot has been named the Technical Director of Education and Product Development for the Peter Coppola Keratin Concept Team. In this position Lightfoot will be a company spokesperson, as well as share his knowledge of chemistry, styling and product development with the company. He will also conduct educational classes with distributors and salons across the country.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Peter Coppola," Lightfoot says. "He’s a luminary in the hair-care business, and his commitment to purity and support for the professional stylist really resonates with me.”
Lightfoot attended Glen Dow Academy, in Spokane, WA, and has worked at salons in Portland, OR; Spokane; and Seattle. He was also the Senior Colorist for Laurent D at the Privè Salon in Soho New York City and a Master Cutter and Lead Platform Artist for Hattori Hanzo.
