Dermalogica Education Director Honored by UAO
Annet King, director of global education for Dermalogica and The International Dermal Institute (IDI), was recently given the Ambassadors of Excellence Award by the Scottsdale, AZ-based United Aesthetics Organization (UAO). UAO, the first organization of its kind in the U.S., is a network of licensed spa professionals in Arizona who organize regional educational events. The organization’s goal is to develop a strong esthetic community where professionals in every aspect of the industry join forces to learn and network.
King was awarded the Ambassadors of Excellence Award in recognition for her dedication to the professional skincare industry. She has been extremely involved with the United Aesthetics Organization for many years, presenting to their members on several occasions. King currently develops, writes, presents and monitors the success of all classes that comprise The IDI curriculum. This program challenges skin therapists to reach far beyond the minimal standards required for licensing in the United States, more closely aligning the skills of American-trained therapists with their overseas counterparts.
“As an educator who has devoted my entire career to supporting and enhancing the expertise of skincare professionals, I am most grateful to be honored in this way by my peers, and by an organization which serves our industry in many meaningful ways,” King said. The award was presented at Dermalogica’s new hybrid educational and retail facility in Scottsdale.
