Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2014 NYC: Alexander Wang
Redken Creative Consultant Guido was the lead for the tousled glamorous hair for the spring 2014 collection for Alexander Wang. Focusing on volume and texture, Guido created a foundation starting with wet hair by applying thickening lotion 06 body builder from root to ends, concentrating product on the roots. He then began drying hair with a diffuser, then used powder refresh 01 aerosol hair powder/dry shampoo on dry hair to create thickness and amped up texture and waves. Quick tease 15 backcombing finishing spray was used to hold the texture in place.
"I wanted the hair to reflect the cool, low-key Alexander Wang type girl. I suppose there are equal parts grunge and glamour, in that the hair is voluminous, yet natural," said Guido.
Diane Kendal for Nars Cosmetics did a "barley there" face by ensuing beautiful basics: skin was properly moisturized, lashes curls and brows shaped.
