Get the Look: Face-Framing Undone Pony

What’s the best way to complement a provocative street style? Aveda Artist Allen Ruiz had the perfect answer, with undone, face-framing ponytails for Public School’s SS18 show. To keep it simple, Ruiz achieved the look by using a texture spray on all the models’ hair, creating a naturally tousled texture with flexible hold.

Get the Look:

  • To create a runway-worthy texture, spritz Aveda’s new Texture Tonic globally and work through the hair. "Straightforward salt sprays can sometimes leave hair a bit too crunchy, but the hydrating sugar in Texture Tonic helps soften the total effect,” says Ruiz.
  • Finish your ponytail prep by blow-drying the spray in on either wet or dry hair to create shine.
