Matrix Artistic Director Ammon Carver is quickly making his way to the top as a go-to celebrity stylist for celebs like Christina Aguilera and Once Upon a Time star Jennifer Morrison, who he recently styled for several events.
Over the holiday season, Aguilera handpicked Carver to perfect the bohemian-chic waves she had envisioned for her Soho dinner date. The Voice panelist wanted to match the neighborhood’s laid-back vibe with a trendy hat and subtly dispersed braids for a no-fuss finish. To get the look, Carver used a mist of Matrix Vavoom Shapemaker Medium-Hold Hairspray before twirling strands around a large-barrel curling iron. To finish, he used his fingertips to run Design Pulse Loosely Defined Texture Crème through her strands.
Morrison also enlisted Carver’s help for a demanding day of appearances as she promoted her ABC series Once Upon a Time. First stop: Good Morning America. In honor of her princess character, Morrison asked Carver to re-create a regally charmed look. Before blow-drying her damp hair, Carver applied both Total Results Moisture Cure 2-Phase Treatment and Design Pulse Go Big Extra Strong Hold Mousse. Using a medium-size curling iron, he alternated the direction in which he curled each section and finished with a quick spritz of Vavoom ShapeMaker Extra-Hold Hairspray. Next set: Live! With Kelly! With little time for major changes, Carver simply swept back her long fringe and loosely pinned it into place at the crown. Last, but not lackluster: SiriusXM Studios.
