Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show: Bigger, Better, Stronger

There’s exciting news coming out of Atlanta. The mid-summer Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show was bigger and better than ever. Held in the Georgia World Congress Center, a new and larger facility for the legendary multicultural trade show, the three day event was filled with nonstop education, exhibits and entertainment have been planned.

With more than 300 exhibitors and over 22,000 professionals from 17 nations globally in attendance, the Bronner Bros. show represents a $774 million market. A number of innovations have been instituted to make this show stronger and specifically geared towards the beauty professional, including changes to the show floor and main stage, registration format, website, self-service kiosks, and partnering with iconic beauty brands Paul Mitchell and Design Essentials.

With these changes also comes a revamped commitment to education and empowerment, a concerted refocus of the company’s proud heritage and roots started in 1947. According to James Bronner, Senior Vice President of Trade Show Operations and the youngest of the five Bronner brothers to serve the family business, “The original vision that my father had was to bring the best and brightest so while it hasn’t changed too much from that, we did want to go back to it and have people like John Paul DeJoria and Robert Cromeans, who we’re bringing in for the first time; Dr. Ali Syed, president of Avlon; Johnny Wright, artistic director of SoftSheen-Carson, who also does First Lady Michelle Obama’s hair, and celebrity stylist Kim Kimble. We’ll also have Andre Walker who is Oprah’s stylist and has done every cover of O Magazine. We really went out there and met with the best and invited them in, because we wanted to expose our attendees to the best so that they could hear from them, learn and see how they did it and see how they got to their skill level. We have a wide range of topics covered comprehensively from business to trichology to coloring to cutting to products – manufacturers actually teach classes – weaving, barbering and even nails. We’re trying to teach a variety of categories to best expand their horizons.”
