Denman Chair Receives Honorary Doctorate

Last month, Chairman for Denman International and the Denroy Group, Dr. John Rainey MBE, received an Honorary Doctorate from Queen’s University, Belfast, for distinction to business and commerce. “I am delighted to be receiving this honor from Queen’s,” says Rainey. “As a university with a global presence it still remains close to its roots, engaging with local communities, businesses and students.” Rainey regards this as being unexpected, as it wouldn’t be his first awarded MBE (in 2014 he was awarded for his outstanding contribution to economic development in Northern Ireland).

Since the establishment of the Denroy Group in 1972, Denman has kept its guiding philosophy in ensuring that all Denman products are professionally made for professional results. Traditionally developed for a product range that is fit-for-purpose in the demanding environment of the professional hairdressing salon or barbershop.
