Farouk Systems Inc. hosted its record breaking global conference September 18-22, 2015 at the five-star Moon Palace Golf & Resort Spa in Cancun Mexico. This 5 day event included a celebration of Farouk Shami’s 50-year legacy of styling and innovations as well as CEO Basim Shami showcasing the company’s new direction with product and tool launches for the remainder of 2015 and 2016. In addition, Basim proudly announced actress/singer Zendaya as the new CHI Brand Ambassador as well as its partnership with Esquire Magazine.
To set the pace for this year’s conference, over 5,000 attendees from 142 countries were treated to a live outdoor performance by rapper Flo Rida and musical artist Natalie del La Rose. While the following day, distributors, sales personnel, educators, salon owners, hairstylists & cosmetology students from 142 countries witnessed first-hand an overview of 50 years of hairdressing, marketing plans, celebrity partnerships and the latest Trend Collection presented by the Global Artistic Board. The opening show featured trends in hair, hair color as well as fashions from Project Runway All-Star Winner, Dmitry Sholokhov. Afterwards, the Interactive Learning Center opened allowing everyone to see, touch and feel all the latest product launches by CHI and BioSilk coupled with educators on hand to answer any questions.
Farouk Systems distributors and chains branched off with individualized opportunities, education and awards held by Andre Chiavelli, Executive Vice President of Sales. Top distributor awards went to: CCD France - Highest % Increase Europe & International Highest % Increase in Sales; Anda International – Top New Distributor International; CHI Turkey – Highest % Increase Middle East; CHI Lebannon, Fadi Mchanna – International Top Sales Director; CHI Palestine – International Highest New Distributor Purchases and Chatter Edmonton South Common – Best Overall Sales Volume.
With education being one of the strongest commitments for Farouk Systems, Vice President of Shows and Education, Lisa Marie Garcia created an array of educational classes such as Trend Cutting and Styling, The Art of Color, Men’s Grooming, Salon Business Motivation, Social Media Success, The Art of Hairdressing,Picture Perfect Show: A live Photoshoot, Color Show: The Art of Color Comes Alive plus a special Q&A session with top celebrity hairstylists and designers. A special evening was also set aside to present the Educator Awards and a Student Hair Show previewing the up and coming talent from the CHI partner schools.
To close the conference, Farouk Systems hosted an elaborate gala that included a spectacular Global Runway Show. This elaborate presentation included looks from 14 countries and over 60 models. Entertainment included an additional performance by Flo Rida plus a special performance by musical artist Massari.
