Help Stop Domestic Abuse

This Thursday, October 2, salons and spas across the country are taking part in Girls Night Out to Cut Out Domestic Abuse (GNO), a kick-off to October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month. These 100-percent volunteer led, zero-budget fundraisers will raise awareness about domestic abuse to help break the silence and save lives. The events will include salon pampering, spa delights, food, empowerment and more. Proceeds from all GNO events will go to the Purple Ribbon Council, a national organization that brings together a network of survivors, domestic abuse prevention groups, grassroots advocates and everyday people, and Cut It Out, an education program of the Salons Against Domestic Abuse Fund of the National Cosmetology Association that builds awareness by training salon professionals how to recognize and respond to the signs of abuse and where to refer their clients for help. Local beneficiaries will also receive a portion of the money raised.

Please check out the GNO website to find an event near you and to learn more about this amazing event.
