Mercedes-Benz Fall ‘11 Fashion Week NYC: Preen
At the Preen show, which was held at Milk Studios, Luke Hersheson for Redken created a '50s-inspired boyish barbershop look on the female models. Hersheson created the look by combing hair straight back and tying the hair into a ponytail with the sides tight and clean. He then twisted the hair into a knot a many times as it took on each model to create length. The Redken products he used to create the look include Aerate 08, Glass 01, Outshine 01 and Shine Flash 02.
For the makeup look, James Kaliardos for M.A.C created a modern, masculine look to complement the collection's tailored styles. For the skin, he created a waxy look with moisturizer and foundation. He applied Accentuate Pro Sculpting Cream on the cheekbones and nose, then contoured cheeks with Taupe powder. To create a "smokey eye using camel tones," Kaliardos used Moleskin eyeshadow on the brows, eyelid and thickly under the eye, and used NW25 Chromagraphic pencil inside the eye. He finished the eyes with Brit Wit Creamblush on the eyelids.
