Newcomer Houghton showed a glamorous fall collection of white, champagne and cream pieces at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center. Backstage, lead stylist for L'Oréal Professionnel Laura Polko created three different hairstyles to complement the clothes: long waves, long waves with a slicked back side and a knotted updo. All looks feature a deep side part. Each look begins by achieving the first style, which entails prepping the hair with L'Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Mousse Volupté or Densité, curling sections with a 1 1/2-inch iron using Texture Expert Infinium 2, loosening the curls with the fingers and tucking one side behind the ear. For look two, the hair behind the ear was slicked back with a fine-tooth comb using Texture Expert Lumi Controle. Finally, for the third look, the hair was pulled into two sections that were twisted and knotted together, then pinned in place.
Victor Henao for Beauty Blender created the dramatic makeup look, which featured red malbec wine shades on the eyes and lips and a porcelain complexion.
