Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013 NYC: Wildfox

Design house Wildfox is into kitsch and class and decided for its fall/winter 2013 collection to take on the roaring 1920s, "ala The Great Gatsby"

To pull of the look in the hair US Creative Director for TIGI, Heath Grout, styled most of the girls with a very low soft pony to help make room for the lines' many vintage cloches.

To get the look, Grout pulled all the hair into a very low pony at the nape, keeping the sides droopy to cover the ears and part of the cheeks. The ponytail hair was then curled using the TIGI Pro Curl Stick; the curls were pinned and set to cool with a layer of Catwalk Finishing Spray. Once cool, Grout released the pin curls and delicately brushed the pony into a sophisticated loose wave.

Three models were fitted with wigs, representing the ultimate 1920's bob.

For the makeup, Risa Robins-Moloney for Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics gave girls two different looks. One look was with a dark and vampy lip, while the other was a softer, matte version using Hush Liptar by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics; for the cheeks the girls were brightened with a poppy-like color called Grandma.
