Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2014 NYC: Adam Lippes

In a penthouse suite atop the Maritime Hotel, a breeze blew in from the open door of the balcony as Adam Lippes prepared the presentation of his spring 2014 collection. In the next room, Nina Dimachki of Kerastase was busy styling hair to complement Lippes' chic pieces that ranged from wide-legged culottes to romantic silk shirts. Dimachki created a sophisticated but edgy hairstyle with sleekness on the sides and volume in the front. To achieve the look, Dimachki primed hair with Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique, followed by Mousse Bouffant, and then blew out hair with a round brush, lightly backcombing the area. She then sprayed Powder Bluff Texturizing Dry Shampoo for a matte finish.

Outside on the terrace, the September air was crisp as Jane McKay applied Mac Cosmetics to achieve natural, refined beauty. McKay said she used a generous amount of mascara on the eyes, along with an espresso eyeliner. For the lips, she chose Trendy Twist, a nude caramel shade.
