Backstage at the Marissa Webb Spring 2014 show, the vibe was cool. Her collection was a balance of precious meets edgy and masculine vs. feminine. To complement the look, the designer collaborated with Linh Nguyen, lead hairstylist for Cutler/Redken. Linh had a vision of the effortless rocker girl, the one who every other girl stares at with adoration or envy. He created two styles on the models, one with the hair up and one with it down, but pinned to one side, creating an almost shaved hair effect. To achieve both looks he sprayed Redken 22 Thermal Setting Mist onto the hair and blew it out upside down. He then worked his hands through the hair using Redken Hardwear 16 Super Strong Gel for a sleek hold. He finished off with Redken Work Force 09 Flexible Volumizing Spray for just the right touch of flexibility and volume.
Lead makeup artist for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Cassandra Garcia and her team created flawless, soft skin and clean eyes that were slightly defined with eyeliner and black mascara. Blazing Red Rich Lip Color was applied bringing the lips center stage.
