Backstage before Wes Gordon's show, James Pecis for Bumble and bumble was busy creating a young, downtown hair look. To achieve the low ponytail style, he relied on Bumble and bumble products such as Thickening Dry Spun Finish spray. Pecis pulled the hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, slid the elastic down and softened around the face by pulling baby hairs out in front. The look is something Pecis said he wants the everyday girl to be able to identify with.
For makeup, Alice Lane used Maybelline cosmetics to create a barely-there look, filling in the eyebrow slightly and using Breaking Bronze pigment on the eye with gloss over it. She also added a tiny bit of brown mascara to the edges of lashes. Lane shied from heavy makeup and wanted the skin to look touchable. For nails, Julie Kandalec used three pastel Essie colors in varying combinations--two colors for each look with a base color and an additional shade lining the top of the nail. The colors used were Eternal Optimist (a rose hue), Sand Tropez and Lilacism.
