Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week NYC: Christian Siriano

Christian Siriano's spring 2012 collection, shown at Eyebeam, featured lots of flowing pieces in bright tones of coral and underwater hues, which inspired Aveda Global Creative Director Antoinette Beenders to give models' hair a flirty, textured and full style for the show. To achieve the look, Beenders prepped the hair with Aveda Volumizing Tonic, then blow-dried it. Next, she curled the hair using a 1-inch curling wand, raking through the waves with her hands. Finally, she created a deep side part, scrunched Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray into the hair for texture and misted the look with Brilliant Spray-On Shine.

On the makeup side, lead makeup artist for M.A.C Polly Osmond created a free-spirited hippie-influenced makeup look that she achieved by applying the makeup with her fingertips. She chose a bright yellow color for the eyelids and added three false lashes for a 1960s effect. Cheeks were rosy and flushed and lips were nude (M.A.C Innocence Beware).
