Moroccanoil and their Southern California distributor, Sweis Inc., recently hosted a Hair Trends party at the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood, CA, to educate and inspire local salon owners and stylists.

After rooftop cocktails and a trend report, Moroccanoil Director of Education Robert Ham and Global Educator Kevin Hughes, along with Freelance Stylist Traci Barrett, executed hairstyles inspired by the past but influenced by the present. The looks included a Veronica Lake-inspired 50’s wave, a braided 70’s top knot and a curly, tailed Mohawk imitating 80’s perms.

Moroccanoil also announced plans to bring similar events directly to salons to educate stylists on how to get achieve up-to-the-minute hair trends.

“We believe that it is important to offer our customers ongoing education and trend inspiration to fuel their creativity,” said Sweis CEO Karl Sweis. “Moroccanoil education has been in high demand and we were excited to be able to offer this special presentation from the Moroccanoil artists who are fresh off of working the New York Fashion Week runways and creating the season’s most popular looks.” —Brianna Keefe
