New York Bridal Fashion Week 2011: Adele Wechsler

Adele Wechsler's eco-conscious bridal collection, shown over the weekend at New York Bridal Fashion Week at the Intercontinental hotel in New York City, was a perfect match for sponsor Aveda to showcase the latest trends in bridal hair and makeup. The hair looks for the three models, created by Jennifer Covington of Scott J salon in New York City, featured soft and natural bohemian waves—down, in a loose updo and in a half-up/half-down style—achieved using a curling iron and Aveda styling products, including Pure Abundance Hair Potion, Volumizing Tonic and Control Force Hairspray. The soft waves were the ideal complement for Wechsler's eco-friendly hair accessories. Makeup was equally pretty. The looks, created by Janelle Gleeson, Aveda global makeup director, were natural-looking yet glamorous, featuring earthy rose, peach and taupe colors on the eyes to make them stand out without appearing overly made-up, a fresh and dewy complexion, and soft pink lips with subtle shine.
