Salon Life '06

Considering how complicated life can be sometimes, are you making the best of what you have? Perhaps you need a little guidance from acknowledged experts on money management, health and wellness, or on how to find a better balance between work and home. Or maybe you just need some time and a chance to focus on yourself, away from the demands of home and salon.

Now you can find the guidance you need. How does spending two days in Las Vegas with Emmy-winning finance expert and author Suze Orman, O magazine's health and fitness guru Bob Greene, life coach Amanda Gore and Grammy-winner Mick Fleetwood sound? Especially if these knowledge masters are followed by six of the salon industry's most renowned names to translate the messages for living an inspired life into practical ways to ensure a brilliant career—names like Sam Brocato, Robert Cromeans, Winn Claybaugh, Ann Mincey, James Morrison and MaryBeth Janssen?

You'll find all this and more at SalonLife '06, a totally new concept in education from the National Cosmetology Association, which will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, July 17-18, 2006, in conjunction with the NAHA Awards and Cosmoprof NA. Based on the idea that maximizing success begins with a well-managed and balanced personal life, SalonLife '06 promises to help you connect the professional and personal sides of your life.

"The concept behind SalonLife '06 is to help salon professionals move to the next level in their lives and careers," says NCA president Marlene Bridge. "Having your life together and having the skills to make your life better are the foundation for professional success.

"When you feel better, you can focus on your work and do better professionally," Bridge adds. "You can make more money when you aren't worried about how to pay the rent or mortgage. When you already know how to live within your means, you can spend your energy on achieving greater success and living a balanced and fulfilled life."

SalonLife '06 will also offer a lot more new ideas in beauty education. It will be commercial-free and sponsored solely by NCA. There will be an official bookstore, managed by www.behindthechair.com, offering a wealth of materials to further the learning experience. Manufacturers will donate logo-wear items to be sold or auctioned, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the NCA Disaster Relief Fund.

Several thousand professionals are expected to flock to Vegas to see their idols and be inspired to improve their lives and their careers. The NCA invites all salon professionals to join in this extraordinary experience. For information or to register, visit www.ncacares.org, www.salonlife.org, or call 312-527-6765.
