Salons and Beauty Companies Help Raise Money for Haiti
Since the earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince, Haiti, last week, many salons and beauty companies have been doing whatever they can to raise money to help the many victims. Here are just a few examples:
Phyto Hair Care is hosting a fundraiser at Phyto Universe in NYC (58th and Lexington) on January 21 from 6-10pm. There will be live music, hair analyses, blowouts and more. If you're in the area and want to attend, RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Plan B Hair Salon in Cambridge, MA, is encouraging its Facebook fans to donate money to Haitian relief funds by announcing that it will match 20% of the money pledged on its fan page through January 23rd. Become a fan here and donate!
Oribe is collecting donations from its affiliated salons, and will be making a large donation to the American Red Cross on their behalf. To contribute, call 888-ORIBE-99.
The M.A.C AIDS Fund is giving $500,000 to organizations funding the relief effort in Haiti—the Clinton Foundation, Partners in Health, and GHEISKO. To read more, click here.
