Salons Unite in Inaugural Salon Week Event

Salon Week, debuting on April 1 in participating Boston and New York City salons, gives business owners the perfect chance to show appreciation for loyal clients, retain former visitors and welcome new ones. From April 1 – 7 the first-ever salon event to connect top stylists nationwide will allow high-end professionals to treat their clients to salon services at 50 percent off in exchange for national media coverage and new client exposure. During the week, each participating salon will offer a minimum of three services, from cuts and colors to blow-outs and other styling treatments.

“Every salon owner faces similar challenges with customer acquisition and retention,” says Maria Lekkakos, president of Salon Week. “We’ve created an event that enables top salons to both show appreciation for existing clients and gain new ones.”

Current salons enrolled in the week-long event include: Boston's Bradley & Diegel, Salon Eva Michelle, Salon Marc Harris and Studio 9 and New York's Pipino 57. The event is also sponsored by beauty industry brands Goldwell, Nioxin, Oribe Hair Care, P&G Professional, Sebastian Professional and Wella.

Expected to expand beyond the select markets featured in this season's inaugural event, Salon Week is set to become a biannual tradition each spring and fall nationwide. For more information or to enroll, visit www.salonweek.com.
