It’s official! The Skin Cancer Foundation gave its Seal of Recommendation to five Jane Iredale products as effective aids in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin, including sunburn and possibly premature aging. The products—Amazing Base, PurePressed Base, Dream Tint, LipDrink and Powder-Me SPF in Tanned and Translucent—underwent extensive testing and evaluation to receive the recommendation and join the ranks of more than 900 other approved products. According to the Foundation, products containing SPF 15 or higher should be applied daily for the best protection; the approved line of Jane Iredale products range from SPF 15 to 30.
"About 90 percent of nonmelanoma skin cancers are associated with exposure to UV rays, so we are thrilled to receive the Skin Cancer Foundation Seal of Recommendation in an effort to help spread awareness on preventable measures against this deadly disease," says Jane Iredale, president and founder of Iredale Mineral Cosmetics.
