Beauty services and decadent amenities meet in Platinum Entourage’s 8,000-square-foot space in Las Vegas.

Todd White debuted his first blow-dry bar in Las Vegas in 2010. “It was very popular, but it was housed in a 1,000-square-foot space that we quickly outgrew,” says White, a former Las Vegas singer and dancer turned hair designer. Fast-forward three years, and White has unveiled his latest beauty magnum opus: Platinum Entourage, an 8,000-square-foot vintage wonderland and a multiservice salon with a vanity lounge and private VIP suite.

“Gone are the days of a rushed, stressful salon experience,” White says. “When designing the new Platinum Entourage space, our goal was to indulge clients with a relaxing environment where they can unwind and feel as though they’re lounging in a whimsical mansion.” To that end, White collaborated with up-and-coming designer John Best, as well as an inner circle of local artists, to create a modern-day take on New York City’s Warhol Factory. Distinctive pieces such as an antique chandelier embellished with jewelry and medieval-style armor that stands 7 feet tall punctuate the hip hangout. Other conversation pieces range from a 10-foot-tall bookcase that’s been transformed into a retail display to an antique trunk collection from the bygone days of traveling performers that was gifted to the salon by longtime clients.

Cutting-edge services are likewise a big draw at Platinum Entourage. Clients can choose from signature offerings on the Blow Menu, including Vintage Veronica for sculpted waves, a deep side-part and a peek-a-boo eye; Rockstar, a messy shag; and Juliet, wavy locks loosely braided to one side. The salon also offers popular options such as Flamboyage, a new highlighting technique made popular by Italian hairdresser Angelo Seminara and exclusive to Davines salons; Brazilian Blowout Professional Smoothing Treatments; and an array of makeup services. According to White, Platinum Entourage prides itself on staying up-to-date on the latest European techniques.

In addition to all the pampering, Platinum Entourage’s clients also enjoy a front-row seat to the many photo shoots the salon is routinely involved in. “We’re giving them a backstage pass to our creativity,” White says. “Creating a venue like this has been a lifelong dream come true for me. It’s allowed me to reinvent, entertain and inspire guests when they visit us. What’s more, the expansion has enabled me and my team of seasoned artists to work toward redefining the beauty industry.” ✂ —Kelley Donahue
