Three Ohio Salons Support Go Red For Women this February

In support of the year-round Go Red For Women campaign, the American Heart Association’s (AHA) initiative to keep women heart healthy—heart disease is the leading cause of death in women—three Cleveland, Ohio-based salons will be participating in Color Me Red events for the month of February.

For the entire month, Christopher Amira Salon and Spa, Lavish Color Salon and The Studio will be offering special services such as manicures, pedicures, massages, make up application and red hair extensions with a portion of the proceeds goes to AHA’s Go Red For Women initiative.

Additionally, each salon has chosen one day in February when they will host a color-a-thon where participants can get their hair colored or highlighted at a reduced rate as long as the color is a shade of red. The color-a-thon Color Me Red days will also include special educational activities, including nutrition and health information, and free blood pressure screenings.

Also important to note: this Friday, February 3 is National Wear Red Day! So wear your red to support AHA's Go Red for Women campaign.
