Shining Star

Cut clients a break from brittle hair with Wella Professionals’ new LuxeOil collection, specially formulated to bring back moisture and softness to strands.

For hair that’s thirsty for more, Wella Professionals offers its new LuxeOil collection, formulated with the benefits of hair oil in mind to soften and condition strands. Enriched with keratin, as well as argan, almond and jojoba oils, the collection nourishes and hydrates strands from the inside out. From within, LuxeOil works to make hair less porous and lock in moisture, and from the surface, the oil and polymer components form a protective layer around hair to repair and shield it from damage.

The LuxeOil collection includes a range of five products. Keratin Protect Shampoo is a lightweight cleanser with keratin and panthenol that penetrate hair to anchor water molecules with hair proteins for strength and reconstruction. Keratin Restore Mask reconstructs the hair fiber to improve texture and softness, while Keratin Boost Leave In Conditioning Spray infuses strands to strengthen keratin and leave them hydrated and smooth. Reconstructive Elixir, enriched with argan, jojoba and almond oils, improves texture to make locks sleek, and Light Oil Keratin Protection Spray provides smoothness and moisture while protecting against UV rays.

To work in tandem with the products, Wella Professionals recommends two in-salon services: the Intense Keratin Restore Service and the Express Keratin Restore Service. The Intense Keratin Restore Service is a 20-minute treatment that uses a combination of Keratin Protect Shampoo, Reconstructive Elixir and Keratin Restore Mask to create soft tresses. The Express Keratin Restore Service is a five-minute treatment for clients in a hurry that combines Keratin Protect Shampoo, Keratin Restore Mask and Keratin Boost Leave In Conditioning Spray to protect hair against damage.

“Everyone wants gorgeous, healthy hair, especially my celebrity clients who are constantly being photographed on and off the red carpet,” says Wella Professionals Celebrity Stylist Ambassador Andy Lecompte. “I can actually feel the softness and improvement to hair after just one use.” wella.com —C.R.

Evening Out

Whether clients are seeking curls, crimps or a smooth finish, the Diane by Fromm Ombré Flat Iron speaks to every hairstyle. The tool is designed with two tourmaline ceramic ionic plates for smooth and shiny styles, and the beveled edges make it easy to achieve a variety of looks. The flat-iron also features an adjustable digital temperature display, and reaches up to 450 degrees. “When heated, the ceramic produces even heat, rather than pulsating, to maintain a steady temperature all throughout styling processes,” says Fromm stylist Nichole Heintz. “Tourmaline is a mineral that facilitates the production of negative ions, which makes the heat-styling process less damaging to hair and leads to a smoother cuticle.” frommbeauty.com —C.R.
