Best of Masters: Sam Brocato

One of the hardest working hairdressers and product developers in the professional salon industry for over three decades, Sam Brocato has amassed a long list of honors, including Editorial Stylist of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards from NAHA, World’s Top Hairstylist and induction into London’s Hairdresser Hall of Fame, among a myriad of other accolades.

As a master hairdresser, Sam’s hair design philosophy is the guiding principle at Sam Brocato Salon. Passionate and creative, he is an expert in the field of hair care chemistry and continues perfecting products in his SBS Laboratory. For Sam, it’s all about creating a connection: that’s what inspired him to open his first salon in Louisiana in 1976, and it’s what inspires him today.

Interviewed in 1995 for MASTERS Audio Club by 7-time NAHA winner Vivienne Mackinder in 1995, Sam delivers an inspiring message on “unbelievable customer service.”

When I entered the beauty industry back in the early 1980s, the first person I knew I needed to learn from was Sam Brocato. I literally showed up unannounced on his doorstep, and he graciously invited me in. That was over 30 years ago, and to this day he never disappoints!” – Winn Claybaugh
