Editors Blog: Gilded Pleasures

It's a tough job testing out everything beauty, but somebody's gotta do it. Follow along as I share the latest and greatest in products, trends and beauty news from my post as Senior Editor of American Salon.

Of all the beauty trends that I saw coming down the Spring 2015 runways, the golden hair accessory was the one I fell in love with most. From the gold haircomb seen at Lanvin to the simple ring clip seen at Céline, these functionally decorative and effortlessly cool hairpieces stood out because of their minimal effort-maximum impact punch. The precious yet modern vibe they give off is highly covetable and easily achievable. In the last few weeks, celebrity hairstylist Mark Townsend has created quite the buzz incorporating Y.S. Park gold hair pins into the hairstyles of his red carpet ladies Elizabeth Olsen, Elizabeth Banks and Ashley Olsen. Scroll through the photos above for some inspiration on a trend everyone is currently obsessing over.
