IBS Las Vegas Draws 20,000+ for Fastest-Growing Event in Beauty

This year's International Beauty Show Las Vegas was one for the books, drawing more than 22,000 salon owners, managers and beauty professionals to Sin City for three jam-packed days of education. Hosted at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 23-25, attendees had access to more than 350 innovative brands, thousands of products and in-booth demonstrations, and 100-plus classes taught by some of the industry's most knowledgable educators. Like years past, attendees had ample opportunity to hone their techniques and expand their expertise in a variety of specialties. 

Some of the industry’s top beauty brands exhibited at IBS Las Vegas this year offering eager attendees the newest innovations, business-boosting products, tools and service recommendations. Leading hair, nail and makeup brands, including Aquage, Amika, Andis, Babyliss Pro, Brazilian Professionals, Dyson, Halo Couture, Pibbs and many more, offered in-booth education taught by top platform artists, along with the opportunity for attendees to purchase products and tools at professionals-only pricing.

Brand new to this year's educational program, the Social Media Summit took place on Saturday, June 23 and offered beauty professionals insight on how to leverage social media to market their services, attract new clientele and establish an online presence. Moderated by Bonnie Bonadeo of the Beauty Agent Network, the three-hour summit included keynote speaker Don Godfrey, and panelists, Christian James, Joe Flano, Jules Reyes and Stephanie Hodges.

On top of social media savvy presentations, heavy-hitters like Ted Gibson, Martin Parsons, Nick Arrojo and Matty Conrad, among others, led engaging demonstrations on the newly-named Mane Attraction Stage. Attendees were also treated to the Finishing Touch Stage, which offered cosmetic demonstrations in microblading, eyelash application and makeup and nail techniques. 

IBS Las Vegas attendees also had the option to visit the IECSC exhibit hall, hosted by our sister publication American Spa, and explore more than 600 leading spa, skincare, and wellness companies. Upcoming spa events include IECSC Florida, which takes place October 21-22, 2018 in Ft. Lauderdale, IECSC New York, which takes place March 10-12, 2019 at Jacob Javits Convention Center, IECSC Chicago at McCormick Place on March 30-April 1, 2019 and IECSC Las Vegas, taking place June 15-17, 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
