Take a Sneak Peak at the Spectacular New Serge Normant Salon

Heaven is a place on earth

The Serge Normant at John Frieda SALON has relocated to a beautifully restored 20th century Chelsea townhouse complete with three floors and an outdoor terrace located on the top floor of the salon. Larger than the Madison Avenue flagship, the 8,000-square-foot salon has a similar menu: Color is offered on the main floor and styling on the top floor—including Normant’s semi-private room—though the new location also offers custom spray tans and Essie nail treatments along with facials by famed aesthetician Nichola Joss on the lower level. The salon is decorated with an elegant fireplace and Tiffany chandeliers throughout, and the shampoo area boasts a striking 18-foot-tall pop art mural of Normant and his clients by Donald Robertson, the fashion community’s favorite illustrator and Instagram superstar known for his cheeky and irreverent art. The celebrity hairstylist who counts Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker, Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon and Blake Lively among his regular clients, shot to fame through his talented editorial and runway work. —Maureen Sheen, senior editor
