Moroccanoil Launches $3M Recovery Program

Since many beauty professionals are independent contractors or small business owners, the economic impact of COVID-19 has been devastating. As states begin reopening salons, Moroccanoil has launched a multifaceted $3 million recovery program to provide salons and stylists with the resources they need to rebuild business, stay engaged with clients, and provide the most healthy and safe conditions for customers.

Moroccanoil CEO and board member of the Professional Beauty Association (PBA), Jay Elarar is on the task force leading the charge in establishing these new salon guidelines for the industry to safely return to work. A few highlights from Moroccanoil's recovery program include:

  • Provide $2.8 million in support for its loyalty and market leading salons globally in the form of station support and backbar products to help share the burden that our salons are facing. Moroccanoil's loyalty salon partners will also now be able to retail Moroccanoil products through their salon's e-commerce site, driving local business support and an additional revenue stream.
  • Working with and endorsing the Professional Beauty Association's Safe Salon Charter, helping to support the safe return of professionals and customers to salons. Learn more HERE.
  • Donating 100 percent of the proceeds from a virtual shopping event to the Professional Beauty Association COVID-19 Relief Fund and Beauty Changes Lives, which has made relief grants to licensed U.S. beauty professionals.
  • Offering daily digital, online education and inspiration via social media channels and Zoom sessions to keep the community connected and fueled with creativity. Moroccanoil will share its class schedule every Friday for the coming week’s roster of educational opportunities @MoroccanoilPro.
