How to Help Men Embrace Their Grey

Ever since men's grooming started to skyrocket a few years ago, men of all ages are have been expressing themselves through their hair. Back when men's cutting was all about fades and buzz cuts, having grey hair was not really an issue. Now that times have changed and men are more likely to opt for color services, it's our time to shine! This particular service is a great way to introduce your clients to semi-permanent color which will only tint or stain the hair. This is a great selling point for men because most do not want their hair to have a line of demarcation or an unnatural look.

The color that I have found works best for most of my clients is the Paul Mitchell Flash Back Ten-Minute Color! Yes, I said ten minutes—It's such an easy application and only takes ten minutes to process. This is also a great add-on service to any men’s grooming services such as a haircut, facial or beard trim! If you choose to do a haircut with this service, I recommend cutting the hair first and then applying the color. If a client chooses to only have the color done, I will start by clarifying the hair with the Kenra Clarifying Shampoo, then I apply the Paul Mitchell Flash Back Ten-Minute Color in Medium Cool Natural. For levels five through eight, this is a great color choice if you are looking for more of a gunmetal grey look.

During the process time, I always want to make my guest feel relaxed and pampered so I will use my cordless massager by BabylissPro to massage their shoulders or hands. Whenever I am offering a service to my client, I want them to feel like they got more than what the service calls for. It takes no extra time, just requires you to to take the extra steps that other stylists might not. This not only shows your client that you care, but it will also separate you from all the other stylists out there. They say detail makes the difference and I definitely agree! I always want to build confidence in my guests so when they leave they not only have great hair but a sense of assurance in my services.
