Fall and winter are prime trend-breeding seasons and, let's be honest, sometimes it's hard to keep up. Of course balayage is nothing new, but it seems like there's always a new variation that's somehow better than the last. Amy McManus (@camouflageandbalayage), hairstylist and educator, switched up her usual blonde and brunette balayage for a copper shade that's making our hearts flutter. Here's how you can recreate the look:

Get the Look:

  • Root formula: Paul Mitchell The Color 7Wc (1 oz) + 8N (1 oz) + 8Ro (.5 oz) with 20 volume-developer (2.5 oz)
  • Apply balayage highlights using Oligo Clay Lightener and Extra Blonde Lightener with 30-volume developer
  • Process for 45 minutes at room temperature
  • Glaze entire head with Joico Intensity Metallic Bronze and process under heat for 20 minutes
