Tracey Devine Smith, global ambassador for Affinage, is one of the most esteemed creative forces in British hairdressing, and her collections are always thought-provoking. “For me, this shoot shows how we can mix beauty with fashion,” she says. “These tribalesque images scream femininity, but there’s a softness to the hair that captures a true summer feel.” We asked Smith to tell us what she had in mind when she created the looks shown here, and she was happy to oblige. —Marianne Dougherty, editor in chief
