Color How-To: Honey Crisp

After the Polar Vortex swept a good portion of the country last week, daydreaming about warmer weather is the only thing getting us by. And while springtime seems like a distant mirage, giving your clients sun-kissed strands may just be the next best thing. 

Jessica Scott Santo (@jessicascotthair), a Pennsylvania-based balayage specialist, gave her client a summer-worthy honey blonde and shared the formula with American Salon. 

GET THE LOOK:

  • Client was a level 5 to start
  • Using Wella Koleston Perfect, mix tube of 7/0 + 1/4 tube of 6/0 with 20-volume developer
  • NOTE: Every other visit, Scott balayages her client with Sunlights Balayage Lightener with 40-volume developer and processes for 25 minutes under a climazon
  • Shampoo and apply Biolage Smoothing Milk and Design.Me Fab Me Leave in
