One of the show's biggest highlights is the world class education available to attendees, including 100 free classes, pay-to-attend master classes and hands-on workshops. Leading up to the event, we'll be sharing background information and fun Q&A sessions with several educators that you'll want to add to your list of must-sees. First up, Rodrick Samuels and Lauren Moser, owners of HairLab Detroit.

At this year's IBS Las Vegas, the pair will be combining their talents and taking the stage for a creative session covering looks for photography competitions and creative photoshoots. Learn styling techniques and on-set lessons that will make your next shoot, your best shoot. We sat down with Moser and Samuels to ask them a few things that you may not know about them.

What's one piece of advice you'd give to your younger self?

RS: Remember to keep pushing boundaries and expand your horizons.

What's your favorite trend right now?

LM: I'm loving everything about textured hair. Men and women are embracing texture and as a stylist, it's a fun journey to go on with them.

Explain your presentation in five words or less:

RS: Not to be missed.

Who do you look up to?

LM: One of my favorite people in the industry is Ginger Boyle. She has mastered being a stylist, salon owner, and educator with grace.

Do you remember the moment you decided to become a hairdresser?

RS: My mom gave me an ultimatum to enlist in the army or find a job. I started my barbering apprenticeship the next day and never looked back.

Who inspires you?

RS: My wife is my biggest inspiration. She always has these hunches that keep me in a continuous state of planning and creating.

What can attendees expect from our presentation at IBS?

LM: A presentation that will energize and inspire those looking to shoot their work for competition, marketing and portfolios.
