Man buns were so last year, but thankfully, with winter long hair for men will never go out of style. This long and layered men’s haircut from Andis is both low-maintenance and masculine.

Step 1 Prep the hair by wetting and parting it at desired position. Take vertical sections from the highest point of the head and separate the sides and back.

Step 2 Complete back outline by taking horizontal sections with the Andis Excel Ultra with size 000 UltraEdge blade.

Step 3 Cut front and side outline using UltraEdge size 1 blade with the Excel Ultra for a softer effect. In connecting the front to the sides, use a traveling guide to see what reference point to use.

Step 4 Complete interior guides by using a 1-inch by 1-inch section at the crown; connect to front guide. To complete the back interior guide, connect top interior guide to the back outline guide.

Step 5 To complete the back interior, take vertical sections at a 90-degree elevation starting at the center back to the sides.

Step 6 Compare traveling guide to top interior guide and indicate how to position horizontal sections for side interior.

Step 7 Position yourself on the opposite side of the section of hair to be cut. Using the clipper-over-finger technique cut horizontal sections to the stationary guide.

Step 8 Create texture and movement and line-up facial hair with the Andis SuperLiner trimmer.

Step 9 For a smooth and clean look, attach the shaver attachment to the SuperLiner and clean below line-up or dry shaven areas.

Step 10 Apply products and style hair using the Andis Pro Dry Elite AC dryer.
