2017 Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge Opens

The 2017 Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge is now open for submissions. Color Zoom is one of the largest and most prestigious color competitions in the industry and draws the most creative, passionate and inventive colorists from around the world. The annual global competition invites stylists to first compete for the coveted title of Gold, Silver, or Bronze at the national level. The National Gold Winners then go on to compete against the top talent from around the world in the categories of Creative Colorist, Global New Talent Colorist, and Global Partner Colorist at Global Zoom. Last year’s event saw a celebrated US Gold win for Daniel Rubin from Chicago, Illinois, who took home the top prize in the coveted Partner category. “Color Zoom is the best thing that’s ever happened to my career,” Rubin says, “Not just because I won, but also because it helped shape my skills and push my abilities.” Australian stylist Larissa Bresnehan was awarded the top honor in the Creative category, while Sargis Airapetian from Russia earned the top prize in the New Talent category.

Rubin also won the Gold Stylists’ Favorite Award, together with Colette Jones from Okanogan, Washington (Creative category) and Liss Dragos from Romania (New Talent category). Determined by a worldwide vote, the special feature of this award is that anyone, anywhere in the world, is able to participate via an online platform and choose their favorite entry in each category, from all of the National Gold Winners.
