Albie X Cortes Joins Luxury Brand Partners

Luxury Brand Partners has announced that industry veteran Albie X Cortes has joined the company as General Manager of an exciting brand launching in late 2015. Cortes will head up development and sales for the new brand and teach business courses in LBP’s upcoming Miami academy.

Cortes has been in the professional beauty industry for nearly 25 years. He was most recently the Vice President of Sales at Kerastase and Shu Uemura. Prior to that, he held the same role at Bumble and bumble. He has specialized in building strong relationships and helping salons through retail and business education.

“Luxury Brand Partners is the only player in the industry that is truly prepared and able to take salons to the next level,” Cortes said. “There’s a unique, forward-thinking brain trust here that doesn’t exist anywhere else, and they are completely dedicated to elevating salons and stylists…not just selling products. In my opinion, that all starts with education. LBP is showing their commitment to moving the industry forward with the huge investment they are making in building a state-of-the-art academy in Miami that will elevate the craft on every level. That really resonates with me, and I feel honored to be part of it.”

“I am excited to work closely with salon owners, managers and stylists to champion the LBP mission and share the vision of a brand that really stands for something,” he continued. “Salons and stylists give so much to so many people, and they deserve to receive that same level of luxury service, products and relationships that they provide to their clients every day. LBP is the first true collective of brands that delivers on that and makes all salons—big or small—feel special.”

Cortes will be based in Luxury Brand Partners’ Miami headquarters but will spend much of his time traveling around the country spreading the LBP message to salons.

“I have worked with Albie in various capacities on and off for nearly 15 years,” said LBP President Tevya Finger. “He is a talented and smart hair industry executive with a deep knowledge of the salon channel. I look forward to working with him again, this time as an integral part of the LBP team.”
