All About Texture at the Golden Globes

At last night's Golden Globes, several celebs eschewed the stick-straight styles of years past and embraced textured tresses. "The hair was very casual, not overdone and styled," notes Goldwell International Guest Artist Dimitrios Tsioumas. "It looked extremely natural, which was a nice change."

Michael Shaun Corby, global creative director for Alterna, agrees: “From Julia Roberts’ sexy waves to Sandra Bullock’s faux textured bob to Heidi Klum’s simple but elegant style to Emily Blunt’s piecey look, the hair was natural and laid-back. Even updos had texture.” According to Corby, the key to achieving perfect texture is using a texturizing styling product, such as Alterna Hemp with Organics Texturizing Glaze, to lightly separate the hair and add definition.
