When the winners are announced live on FOX on Sunday, September 20, we hope that Macadamia Professional International Creative Director Giannandrea will be bounding onstage to accept an Emmy for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special. The celebrity stylist has been honored for his work styling Christina Aguilera on NBC’s hit show, The Voice. “It’s extremely humbling to be recognized by the prestigious Emmy Awards alongside some of the world’s most elite hairstylists. I’m honored to be part of such a great team,” says Giannandrea, who first styled Aguilera for her live performance at the NBA All-Star Game in February, 2015. He quickly earned her trust and was asked to be her personal stylist for all of The Voice live shows.
Giannandrea is part of a team of hairdressers on The Voice, including department head hairstylist Shawn Finch, key hairstylist Jerilynn Stephens, Renee DiPinto-Ferruggia, James Dunham and Stacey Morris, who are being recognized for exceptional styling in the season finale. Their competition includes fellow nominees who worked on Dancing With The Stars, Key & Peele, Saturday Night Live and So You Think You Can Dance.
Giannandreaa is widely recognized as a creative force in the beauty and fashion industry, having worked for major editorial publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, Marie Claire and Elle in the U.S. and internationally. One of the industry's most respected hairstylists, his impressive celebrity clients include Naomi Watts, Christina Aguilera, Chrissy Tiegen, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba and Kristen Stewart. He joined Macadamia Professional as the International Creative Director in January 2014 and still holds that role today.
