Aveda Raising Money and Awareness During Earth Month

Join Aveda in April for Earth Month 2010 and show your support for organizations working on clean water projects. One in seven people in developing nations lack access to clean water, and Aveda stores, salons and spas have set a $3.5 million global fundraising goal to help solve this problem. The company is also using social networking to raise awareness. Aveda will donate $1 for every person who completes the Water Footprint Calculator, and another $1 if that person also applies the fundraiser's icon onto Twitter or Facebook profile picture, up to a total of $50,000. Aveda's Facebook fan page also lists other ways to contribute.
