Backstage With Moroccanoil at Juicy Couture's Spring 2012 Presentation

The swank Academy Mansion in Manhattan's Upper East Side was the setting for last night's Juicy Couture spring 2012 presentation, which featured shorts and jackets with a nautical influence and bright preppy dresses and pants. To complement the clothes, lead hairstylist for Moroccanoil Duffy created beachy, effortless waves. "If there's a point of reference I would say it was Michelle Phillips from The Mamas and the Papas," Duffy told me backstage. Duffy got the look by prepping the hair with Moroccanoil Curl Defining Mousse, parting it in the center and curling sections in opposite directions with a 1- to 1 1/2-inch curling iron. Before the models hit the platforms, he brushed through the waves with a paddle brush and sprayed the look with Luminous Hairspray.
