The Beauty Changes Lives Foundation (BCL) is welcoming four accomplished beauty and wellness leaders to its board of directors effective April 1. New BCL directors are as follows: Elisa Fischer, general manager for the America’s, TIGI; Tate Holland, CEO, MUD-Makeup Designory; Salvatore (Sal) Mauceri, CEO, Wella North America; and Ella Stimpson, past chairman of ISPA and Spa Director of Sea Island Spa
The remainder of the Beauty Changes Lives Board of Directors includes Lynelle Lynch, owner, Bellus Academy; Jan Arnold, co-founder and style director, CND; Frank Cacciato, Jr., CEO, Katherine Frank Creative, Inc.; Christine Gordon, president, Graham Webb International Academy of Hair; Robert Passage, CEO, Pivot Point International; Christine Schuster, senior vice president, education, products division, L’oreal; and Colin Walsh, president, DevaCurl.
President Lynelle Lynch said the support of leading beauty and wellness brands coupled with the passion industry leaders share for paying their success forward has been an integral part of the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation’s growth. “From the very beginning, beauty and wellness leaders have championed our cause to elevate perceptions of careers in beauty and wellness,” Lynch said. “The individuals who serve on the BCL board understand the transformative nature of careers in beauty and are personally convicted that beauty changes lives,” she said. As the Foundation’s programs have grown, so has its board of industry influencers. Since its formation as a 501c3 in 2013, the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation has raised more than $3M for beauty and wellness scholarships. By year-end 2016, the Foundation will have administered more than 300 beauty and wellness scholarships for cosmetology, nail, esthetics, massage therapy, professional nail and barbering students, as well as licensed hairstylists and educators. “The work the Foundation has accomplished is a testament to the generosity our board members put forth, whether it’s creating innovative scholarships, leading fundraising efforts or pushing the boundaries of what beauty and wellness education looks like today,” said Lynch.
